Brian Jaques was born in Liverpool, England
on June 15, 1939. While he worked as a truck driver he wrote the book
Redwall for the children at the
Royal Wavertree School for the blind in Liverpool, where he delivered milk.
Today he lives in Liverpool, as do his two grown sons: Marc, a carpenter and bricklayer,
and David, a professor of Art and a muralist.
This was the first book I read by Brian Jaques. It is about a
badger that befriends a falcon that were both captured. They journey through
Mossflower and meet different animals.
